So I think Ive decided to make the switch to digital on my comics. I will let my current orders run the course and then pick it up digital only from there. I like not having a punch of paper in my house and the reading experience is better than when i first tried it a year ago.
I still think the pricing is jacked up but if i wait a month it goes down (still too high) and there are frequent 99cent sales. I’ll save my trade buying for older stuff that i want to keep. The Kirby stuff for sure and the independents like Charles Burns.
Just like music, digital is the future and it wont be long before the costs of printing for a niche market just doesnt make sense to the bean counters anymore.
